Zensei's humble beginnings trace back to August 2018 when one of our founders started experimenting with flavors in the garage of a home in the Pinus Regency complex, Bandung. Just a month later, Zensei's first food cart made its debut in September 2018 at Komplek Margahayu Raya, Bandung.

Zensei has grown and expanded with branches in Dago and Banda Bandung. The market is getting to know Zensei and recognizing the deliciousness and excellence of Zensei's Sei Sapi and Sei Ayam, the first Sei express in Indonesia, with a combination of crispy spinach and sambal matah, as well as krakataw.

Zensei commenced its expansion in late 2019 by establishing an industrial-scale production area. In February 2020, Zensei officially solidified its legal status under the banner of PT Zentama Global Indonesia.

In March 2020, as the COVID-19 pandemic struck, Zensei was compelled to close all its outlets due to government regulations that prohibited selling. However, due to these circumstances, innovation arose, and Zensei introduced vacuum-packaged products for Sei Sapi, Sei Ayam, sambal, and crispy spinach.

After the easing of the PSBB restrictions, Zensei reopened its outlets and expanded to several locations in Bandung, including Margahayu, Arcamanik, Batununggal, Braga, Kopo, Sarijadi, and Soreang. Zensei closed the year with a remarkable revenue growth, soaring from just 300 million per year to 1.5 billion in 2020.

Zensei has seen remarkable growth this year, collaborating with the renowned fashion brand Super Sentimental Secret Theory. Additionally, Zensei achieved the 1st place award at the Young Entrepreneur Success Zone 2021, hosted by Bank BJB. To top off the year, Zensei closed with a significant revenue of 7 billion.

At the beginning of this year, Zensei made a groundbreaking move by collaborating with the metal band Nectura and the hip-hop group Juggermouth, releasing a collaborative single that fuses metal and hip-hop titled 'Bukan Lawan,' along with its music video. But the innovation doesn't stop there; this year, Zensei is also in the process of designing and developing its franchise 4.0, named ZENTO, for its future expansion and further growth.

From Garage Startup to Culinary Sensation

Zensei's story began in August 2018 when it launched from a home garage in Bandung's Pinus Regency complex. By September that year, Zensei's first food cart was serving customers at Komplek Margahayu Raya, Bandung.

In 2020, the pandemic forced temporary closures, but it also sparked innovation. Zensei introduced vacuum-packaged Sei Sapi, Sei Ayam, sambal, and crispy spinach to adapt.

As restrictions eased, Zensei expanded to multiple Bandung locations. Revenue surged from 300 million to an impressive 1.5 billion in 2020.

Collaborations with fashion brand Super Sentimental Secret Theory and a 1st place award at the Young Entrepreneur Success Zone in 2021 added to Zensei's success.

Today, Zensei's revenue stands at 7 billion. The future holds ZENTO, Zensei's franchise 4.0, as it continues its journey of culinary innovation
